The Governor of Ogun State ,Otunba
Gbenga Daniel, has described the victory
of Engineer Segun Oni in the Ekiti
rerun election as the triumph of the
peoples will and a reaffirmation of the
popularity of the People’s Democratic
Party in the South West and Nigeria .
“No doubt the people of Ekiti State have once again shown that they are
principled and would always stay on
the path of truth. This is not just the
victory for the people of Ekiti; it is
also the triumph of light over darkness,
the triumph of truth over falsehood and
vile propaganda. I rejoice with the
people of Ekiti for rejecting those with
expansionist agenda and casting their
lot with a man that would protect
their interests,” the Governor said in a
statement signed by his Chief Press
Secretary Adegbenro Adebanjo.
Governor Daniel while congratulating
Engineer Oni urged him to stay on his
chosen path of good governance, a virtue
he said endeared him to the electorates
in the re run polls. He said given
Oni’s performance during his first
coming which delivered multiple
dividends , it is clear that better days
are ahead for the people of
Ekiti State
