On
the 15th of July the people
of Abeokuta were gripped with shock and
stunned seeing the havoc wreaked by
torrential rain which had started since
on the 14th .Apart from the
fact that the heavy down pour rendered
thousands of people homeless and
dispossessed them of their valuables, so
many roads and bridges were also
seriously damaged.
Some of the areas worst
affected include Ijeun
Tuntun,Omida,Olorunshogo,Sokori,Amolasho,Oke-Igbein,
Kuto, Adigbe, G R A Ibara (The road
leading to OGBC).It also pulled down
the fence of a building belonging the
former Head of Interim Government,
