The
Court of Appeal has finally ruled that Theodore Orji is
the duly elected governor of Abia State.
The
Presiding Justice Saka Ibiyeye of the Court of
Appeal in Port Harcourt , Rivers State noted
that the evidence adduced by Onyema Ugochukwu`s witness
to buttress his petition was hearsay and of
no value .It was thus
discountenanced.
Justice
Ibiyeye said the lower tribunal which declared
Ugochukwu winner of the poll was in serious
error and occasionally miscarried justice.He was
surprised that the same lower court which said Orji
scored the highest votes could go ahead
earlier to declare Ugochukwu winner of the same
election
