Bayelsa:Alaibe may
lead Seriake Dickson’s campaign organization

There appears to be a new twist in the
increasingly unpredictable Bayelsa State governorship race.
Newsdiaryonline has learnt that Timi
Alaibe has been tipped to lead the campaign organization of
Henry Seriake Dickson,winner of the controversial Peoples
Democratic Party,PDP primaries.
This twist confirms our earlier report that
Alaibe might work with Dickson, as soon as it became clear he
might not be given the party’s waiver to run in the
primaries.
Alaibe was not cleared by the party’s
screening committee. And the National Working Committee of the
PDP also disqualified him along with incumbent Governor Timipre
Sylva and Ben Murray Bruce.Though Sylva is still challenging his
disqualification in court, it appears Alaibe has decided to let
bygones be bygones and indeed work with the Dickson campaign
organization ,said an insider.
It is believed that President Goodluck
Jonathan is the main backer of Dickson ,though presidential
aides have been denying the president’s link with any of
the candidates.
