The Cosmas Emenike Ndulue Campaign
Organisation, CENCO, has described the
resignation of Professor Dora Akunyili from
the Federal Executive Council and her
subsequent procurement of nomination form to
contest a senatorial seat in Anambra
State on the platform of APGA as a
good omen that has gone to prove that APGA
is gaining acceptability among the Igbo
elites.
According to it, the deluge of politicians
who are aspiring for elective positions on
the party’s platform in the South East has
shown that APGA will be the party to beat in
the forthcoming general elections in 2011 in
the geopolitical zone and is poised to wrest
power from the Peoples Democratic Party,
PDP.
The organization which is garnering support
for Barrister Cosmas Emenike Ndulue who is
aspiring to represent Anaocha, Njikoka,
Dunukofia Federal Constituency at the
National Assembly said that with the
emergence of the effervescent and vibrant
Professor Akunyili in the quest to represent
Anambra Central Senatorial zone, and
Barrister Ndulue representing the Anaocha,
Njikoka, Dunukofia Federal constituency, the
State will have the quality representation
that has eluded it in the past.
In the statement signed by it National
Co-ordinator, Mr Theo Enemuo, CENCO
remarked that the masses have suffered
enough and needed credible candidates
who are independent- minded and are ready to
call a spade by its name and no other at the
National Assembly, and attract legislations
that will compliment the good work the State
governor Mr Peter Obi is doing in the State.
The organisation urged all the party members
to elect credible delegates who will in turn
elect credible candidates who have the
interest of the masses at heart.
The organization commended the leadership of
the party under the National Chairman Chief
Sir Victor Umeh for its forthrightness
pointing out that the virtues of internal
democracy which it espouses at all times,
its assurance of level- playing field
for all aspirants, and the
people-oriented policies of the party
endeared APGA to all the politicians today
clamouring to join it.
