The Nigerian Army has revealed that two
non commissioned soldiers
have been arrested in its probe into an alleged
involvement of its men in the kidnap of Pa Michael Obi,
father of Chelsea midfielder, Mikel Obi.Army spokesman told
reporters today that the two soldiers were arrested at 11.30 PM
on Monday.He insisted that the soldiers
were
arrested as part
of the ongoing investigation into the incident after receiving
from Kano and other sources.
Mikel Obi’s father told reporters on
Monday that men
in military uniform were indeed involved in his kidnap more than
a week ago in Jos.He recounted at the police headquarters in
Kano where his abductors were paraded before newsmen that he was
driven far into the bush in Jos where he was mercilessly
manhandled.
The police named the abductors who were
also arrested in Kano as
Nkechi Ossai, Ifeanyi Essien, Jacob
Cowen,Ndubusi Friday, Basil Chukwuma & Sule Ibrahim.
