Attacks on five

The chef of Army staff,
Lieutenant-General
Azubuike Ihejirika has
revealed how security operatives averted explosions
in five churches located in
Mubi, Nigeria’s Adamawa
state in the
ongoing attempts to counter the militants .The Army chief spoke
to reporters in his reaction to the attacks on worshippers on
Christmas day.
He said five bombs planted in five churches
in Mubi were discovered, and the planned explosions
were foiled.Ihejirika
urged Nigerians to
be security conscious as the task of securing the country should
not be left in the hands of security operatives alone.
The Army chief expressed optimism
that by next year the measures to contain insecurity will avert
further destruction .His revelation about how attacks on five
churches in Mubi was apparently meant to show that the security
operative have in fact been up and doing in the face of daunting
challenge.
