Downcast Bankole sighted at

Embattled outgoing Speaker of the House of
Reps Dimeji
Bankole was sighted at the Jumaat Mosque Friday
afternoon at the popular Yoruba Mosque opposite IBB's former
campaign office.He came in company of some aides.He looked
rather downcast but raised hands to acknowleged greeting as he
walked towards the Mosque.
It was the first major appearance in public after his brush with
the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC earlier in
the day.EFCC officials were at his Abuja residence today to
effect his arrest .The
scene at the residence was the
dramatic climax of the
cat and mouse game
between the speaker and the anti graft agency.Bankole according
to the agency is under
investigation over series of petitions bordering on
alleged corruption
It is an
open secret that he is being investigated over the
N10b loan scam and the N3.2 b peugeot car scandal .He was
invited earlier but failed
to honour it. Rather he said it was all politics.But after the
dramatic incident at his residence ,he pleaded to be given more
time to report at the EFCC office on Monday.
