The Arrest Of Otunba Gbenga Daniel-CACOL
Reacts Newsdiaryonline Thur

The Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders (CACOL) learnt that an
anti graft agency
has effected the arrest of the former Governor of
Ogun
State Otunba Gbenga Daniel. CACOL is in total support
of anti-graft agencies doing their work by ensuring that
political leaders in
Nigeria
are made to render undiluted account
of their stewardship while they serve at different
capacities.
We therefore have no issues against any agency on effecting the
arrest of Otunba Gbenga Daniel believing the agency must have
completed their investigation on the former Ogun State governor
before his arrest. We therefore ask that he be promptly charged
before a competent Law Court if there are enough allegations
against him to warrant such; otherwise, he should be promptly
released.
CACOL would also want charges against the ex-governor be made
public and his trial be open and transparent such that every
interested Nigerian will be sure that his arrest and trial is
devoid
of political manipulations. That is the only way to show that
justice has not only be done but equally seen to have been done.
