is dead

Reports from Lagos this evening said
popular Lady of Songs Christy Essien Igboke is dead.She
died at the age of 51.The lady of songs took
ill
two days earlier
and was taken to a
private hospital in Lagos where she died on today(Thursday).
She will be remembered for her inspiring
songs.Of late she was entangled in a long drawn battle with the
Akwa Ibom state government .This made her to chronicle several
public statements and letters to her people.
