Abuja: At least 1 dead, 5 rescued as 3-storey building collapses  Posted Jan 28,2012

At least one person was reported dead while 5 person were rescued from the three –storey  building that collapsed at  Naval Quarters Gwarimpa ,Abuja today.Life locator was also said to be trying to reach one more person.

As the building collapsed earlier, messages were flashed on the internet especially the BB messenger urging concerned Nigerians to reach out to officials of National Emergency Management Authority,NEMA for urgent rescue operation. 

 

Most of those trapped within were said to be construction workers at the site.Perhaps they may be victims yet again of another substandard building.
