Daniel inaugurates committee for Jonathan’s visit

The Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has enjoined the committee charged with the responsibility of planning a befitting campaign visit of President Goodluck Jonathan to Ogun State on March 1, 2011 to ensure a successful and hitch free event. Inaugurating the committee at the Jonathan /Sambo Campaign Southwest Operational base, Asoludero Court, Sagamu, Otunba Daniel noted that the support which the President enjoys cuts across all strata of the society especially in Ogun State

and the southwest where there is a consensus of opinion that the Jonathan /sambo presidential paring would further solidify the unity of the country and consolidate the ongoing efforts to ensure that Nigeria ranks among the first 20 nations in the world. He said the nine man committee which has as chairman, Chief Pegba Otemolu, with Chief Derin Adebyi, Hon. Lola Abiola Edewor, Hon Waliu Taiwo, Prince Yanju Lipede, Hon Titi Oseni, Prince Lekan Tejuoso, Mrs Dupe Olasupo and Mr Lekan Odulate as members should ensure a hitch free and colourful campaign visit of Mr President and his entourage.

Governor Daniel who also doubles as the South west Coordinator of the Jonathan Sambo Presidential Campaign Council said he was sure that  members of the People’s Democratic Party and the people of Ogun State would troop out in large numbers to welcome Mr President at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta venue of the campaign rally. He said the campaign visit was more of a thank you visit as Mr. President was aware of the solid support of the people of Ogun State and their determination to vote en mass for him , vice president Namadi Sambo and all candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party during the April polls .

The Chairman of the committee, AKogun Otemolu, assured the Governor that members would work assiduously to ensure the success of the Presidential visit and the campaign rally.
