has named an eight-man Editorial Board. In a statement by Mr
Danlami Nmodu, publisher/editor in chief of
Newsdiaryonline.com,
the newly - constituted Editorial Board has Mr Declan Okpalaeke,
a renowned journalist and journalism trainer as Chairman.
Members include Mr Obed Awowede, also an experienced journalist;
Mallam Mohammed Attah; Dr Ralph Ogar
Oko (Ph.D); Engr
Mohammed Lawal; Mr Gbemiga Bamidele and Mr Chuks Onwudinjo, one
of Nigeria’s leading graphic and production editors. The
editor-in-chief shall also be on the Editorial Board.
Okpalaeke , a three-time CNN Africa
Journalist of the Year Award winner has worked with The
Guardian, TELL, Insider Weekly and News Digest, where he is the
editor in chief. He has varied interests in publishing and media
relations. He is currently the Lead Consultant at InterPares
Media. Awowede is an award winning business/financial reporter
who worked with Business Magazine, TELL, Insider Weekly and
Newstrack where he is the editor-in-chief. Awowede is also chief
executive of the publishing and media consultancy, Creektown
Media. Attah is a civil
society activist. He is Africa Regional Director, World
Association of NGOs, WANGO, and also Managing Editor, NGO Guide
Magazine. Dr Oko is a
Millennium Development ambassador, immediate past country
director Teachers Without Borders and is currently the Executive
Director, Global Educators Initiative in Abuja
Engr Mohammed Lawal is currently the
national coordinator of CITAR-NGO based in
Kaduna. He is also a well-known public affairs analyst.
Bamidele, journalist and prolific writer,
is also the Assistant National Secretary, Nigeria Union of
Journalists and Chuks Onwudinjo, a man with an uncanny nose for
news is a design/production guru and a prolific cartoonist who
rose to the post of executive editor, Insider Weekly. He worked
with TELL and Newstrack magazines, where he is deputy
editor-in-chief. He runs the design and production consultancy,
Wax Fecavi.

has become a popular news blog increasingly quoted and
frequently culled by the mainstream media for different
publications. It is a testament to the growing acceptability of

The new Editorial Board will be inaugurated
in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, on a date to be
announced soon.
