FG fires Idi Faruk as NOA DG,names Omeri as successor

Mr Mr. Michael Omeri Agbo Omeri has been appointed by the
Federal Government as
the new Director-General
of the National Orientation Agency today.
This development brings
to an end the tenure of Mr. Idi Farouk who has been DG NOA
for a long time
A terse statement by the Secretary to the Government of the
Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim said the new NOA helmsman
takes over on Tuesday (January
17), 2012.
Omeri holds a Masters Degree in Law and Diplomacy from the
University of Jos, Bachelors Degree in Mass Communication from
the University of Maiduguri and a Certificate in Information
Education and Communication from the Centre for African Family
Studies, Kenya.
The statement quoted President Goodluck Jonathan as thanking
Farouk and wishing him well in his future endeavours.
