The Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign headquarters was engulfed by fire earlier today.Newsdiaryonline learnt that the fire actually affected the first  floor which is strategic to the campaign office.

The computers and furniture and other vital materials were razed by the strange fire .Sources said smoke   was noticed about 9.00 am this morning by the security men and they made frantic efforts to contain it .The security men were believed to have covered some grounds even before the men of the Federal fire Service finally contained the fire

When asked  an official failed to speculate on what could be the cause of the fire.``I don’t want to speculate on the cause; let’s allow the fire service men to do their report on  the incident``,the official said.

Atiku and  his campaign’s Director General , DG Chris Mammah were said to have been to the office after the incident was reported.The DG was reported to have actually joined in mobilising men of the fire service to end  raging fire which caused  significant damage

The staff are expected to operate from a nearby office  after Atiku ordered the immediate replacement of the vital facilities destroyed by the fire.
