A day after Birniwa incident,Fresh explosions hit  Maiduguri & Damaturu

Reports Wednesday  night said there have been explosions in Maiduguri in Borno State and  Damaturu,Yobe state.At least four reportedly explosions went off.Details of casualty figures were  not immediately available.What is evident is that these explosions mark the first breach of the emergency rule declared in  parts of   these states by President Goodluck Jonathan.Government forces have been battling to contain Boko Haram insurgents that have their  base in Borno state. 

Attacks  by Boko Haram have also hit Abuja.The nation is watching with bated breath after the group urged Christians to quit  the North.But the police have allayed such fears.

Also, on Tuesday there were attacks on Birniwa in Jigawa state.Thoug there was initial uncertainty about whether it was pure robbery at a shop near a police station.it later vecame clear that the state Police Commissioner had confirmed that it was Boko Haram that attacked the police station;a development that came as a surprise to some officials.”Everybody ran indoors as the shooting in Birniwa took place” a source there said.This may be the first Boko Haram attack on Jigawa state.
