Super Falcons in the African Women
Championship just concluded in South Africa
as another manifestation of the greatness of
Nigeria in all field of human endeavor. Governor
Daniel while reacting to the Falcons 4-2
defeat of their Equatorial Guinea
counterparts that earned them their sixth
African Women Nation’s cup said the Nigerian
women have shown that with gut,
determination and sense of patriotism much
can be achieved.
“On
behalf of the government and people of Ogun
State I want to salute the players of the
Super Falcons for their resilience and for
flying the flag of Nigeria loftily in South
Africa. They have given us another reason to
celebrate and written their own names in
gold. I congratulate the President, Dr
Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, the minister of
Sports and the entire management and members
of the Super Falcons and the generality of
Nigerians on this wonderful achievement. The
Super Eagles should take a cue from the
women by ensuring that they do not only
qualify for the next African Nations

trophy”, Governor Daniel said in the

Governor Daniel also admonished the handlers
of the Super Falcons to build on the South
