Nollywood diva and the Face of Hope ambassador, Nkiru Sylvanus, is living up to her promise of giving a better life to Nigerian youths. She has embarked on a mission to fish out raw talents among the youths, especially the less-privileged and give them hope for quality and comprehensive education to enhance their literacy level and improve their socio-economic status.

The Face of Hope ambassador under the Rochas Okorocha Foundation volunteer corps disclosed this at a press conference to officially launch the ‘I’ve Got Talent Show, in Lagos at the Planet 1 Event centre. Nkiru, who before now has disappeared on the screen,  explained that the task of championing the campaign against child illiteracy in Nigeria and West Africa, which is the main goal of the project, has been responsible for her absence as it has been both challenging and time-consuming.

Speaking on why she came up with the talent show, the screen goddess said, “considering the importance of education for every nation and the challenges inherent in asking individuals for continuous support and donations, we decided to create a unique means of raising funds by packaging products, programmes, projects and events that will add value to the society, especially the youths who are tomorrow’s leaders. Thus, the show, apart from bringing out the talents in these youths and helping them to develop on it, will raise funds for continuous free education for the poor as well as empower the youths for the future.”

There will be five winners to go home with lump sum prize money as she revealed that each participant shall benefit from the event, stating that as everybody will have N30,000.00 as participation fee, while the 1st prize will be $50,000 and international media exposure plus brand ambassador to the official sponsors. The 2nd prize will be $20,000 and 3rd prize $10,000 while 4th and 5th prizes will be $5,000 and $2,000 respectively. She noted that it is a TV reality talent hunt show that seeks to search for talents from all walks of life in Nigeria and West Africa, adding that the project not only seek for talents but personality, intelligence and wisdom. The show, aims at discovering talented Nigerian youths who mostly are indigent and lack the opportunity to showcase their gifts.
