The president reiterated his reolve this evening on his facebook page.According to him`. We will do what is right and bring to justice anyone who is remotely or closely connected with any incident that threatens our unity or the stability of our country `’

The president’s entry on his page this evening was titled``On the Recent Arms Seizures’’

In his words:``Many of you may have heard or read about the arms seizure at the Port in Apapa, Lagos and in Anambra and may be wondering what is happening. Coming at a time when elections are scheduled some have written to me expressing apprehension as well as commendation at these seizures. I want to assure you that this matter is being professionally investigated by qualified personnel and we we will get to the root of the matter. I want to commend the security agencies for the work they are doing to keep our country safe. Security without sound intelligence leads to failure. We must continue to work on improving our intelligence gathering capabilities and it is in this regard that I call on all of us to help the security agencies to keep our country secure. This is a job for us all.’’

He continued``As investigations continue and these and other security related matters, I urge us all to refrain from speculation and politicisation of matters at the heart of our national stability and progress. Let us, working together, deny those who dont wish us well the wicked laughter they seek to express. We will continue to work hard to secure our borders; we will work with all patriots and friends of Nigeria at all times. We will do what is right and bring to justice anyone who is remotely or closely connected with any incident that threatens our unity or the stability of our country. GEJ’’
