Three persons in southern part of Kaduna state have
been arrested by the Kaduna state police Command in
connection with the series of
killings in the area.
Unidentified gun men have consistently attacked a number of
communities in
Zangon Kataf,
Zonkwa,
Kafanchan and environs, killing and maiming villagers, a
development which led to the imposition of a dusk to dawn curfew
in the area.
Ballah Magaji
Nasarawa,
Kaduna state Commissioner of Police,
confirmed the arrest of
the three suspects who were said to have be dressed in military
uniform. They were arrested at Anchuna village, near Zangon
Kataf.
The police authorities noted that the suspects who are currently
being detained at the zone Three Divisional Police Headquarters
in Kafanchan, were apprehended
on Saturday,
during a joint operation with the vigilante groups in that area.
According to the police “the
assailants came from an illegal training ground in Laduga, near
Dutsen Bako,
Ikulu. Twenty of them have been released to terrorize the
southern
Kaduna villages.
The authorities know about it and are doing all everything to
arrest the other suspects.”
