The Acting President,Federal
Republic of Nigeria,State House,
Abuja.
Your
Excellency,
The widely-reported petition by the
Comptroller-General of the Nigerian
Customs Service, Alhaji Abdullahi
Inde Dikko, to your office, alleging
threat to his life, is nothing but a
smokescreen to divert attention from the
real issue at stake, which is whether
indeed the following certificates which
he parades as his own, and upon which he
gained promotions to the present
position he occupies are, indeed,
genuine: WAEC Certificate No. NGSG 37836
of 1980 purportedly issued by WAEC in
the name of Government College, Kaduna
and Certificates No. 10912 and 10993
purportedly issued to him by the
Nigerian Institute of Management. Please
find attached again copies of the forged
certificates.
The alleged threat to his life is,
therefore, laughable considering the
armada of security around him as the
Customs boss. It is a miscalculated
attempt to play the underdog in this
sordid and shameful affair. It is also a
ploy to set the stage for an attempt on
the life of the poor boy who helped to
forge his certificates and myself.
Hopefully the attempt will fail. These
allegations have been rife even before
he became Comptroller-General of
Customs. I am not in the Customs and
will never be. Therefore, I am not
interested in his position and I do not
have the capacity to threaten his life.
This is also an appeal to your office,
the Senate President, the National
Security Adviser, the Inspector-General
of Police, the Director of SSS, the
Attorney-General of the Federation and
the Minister of Finance to stop playing
the ostrich and get a simple
confirmation from the above institutions
as to the authenticity of the
certificates and take appropriate
action. I also urge your Excellency to
also investigate the alleged threat to
his life, no matter how laughable it
appears.
I repeat for the umpteenth time that
THERE IS NO COURT ORDER WHATSOEVER
STOPPING ANY INVESTIGATION INTO THIS
MATTER. INDEED, THERE IS A COURT ORDER
DIRECTING SUCH INVESTIGATION WHICH HAS
BEEN DISOBEYED TILL TODAY.
Your Excellency, the silence of your
office and the law enforcement agents on
this issue is almost becoming a national
and international embarrassment.
Thank you.
Yours most trusted,
FESTUS KEYAMO, ESQ.
