'Kabiyesi, we miss you..... you made us feel at home'-CBN Chief on  Late Ataoja  of Osogbo

The Controller of Osun state branch of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr.  Joseph Oyibo Atteh has disclosed that late Ataoja of Osogbo,Oba Iyiola Oyewale Matanmi 111 left a good name in the Accounting Profession and the community where he reigned for 34 years as monarch.

Mr Atteh who disclosed this during a condolence visit to the Ataoja’s palace to condole with the wives, children and family of late paramount ruler, Chiefs and good people of Osogbo on recent death of their traditional ruler who bade this earth good bye at the ripe age of 75years stressed that the good name left behind by Oba Oyawale is their joy today and what every mortal should live for.   

He said that the reason why they came to condole with the families and people of the state was that when the late first class monarch was on the throne and alive, he gave the branch office of the Apex bank the needed support to thrive in the state.

While paying tribute to the late monarch in the signing condolence register, Atteh said: “Kabiyesi, we miss you. You were a father who gave us full support to make us feel at home in Osogbo city and you remained fatherly before death do us apart recently. Your passing away was shocking but we believe Almighty God shall grant us fortitude to bear this great loss.Baba Adieu”.

CBN Chief further stated that late Ataoja as a senior colleagues in the Accounting profession told them that if they encountered any problem in the cause of their duty, they should come to see him in the palace because his  palace is open to them.

In his speech while receiving the team at the palace, the Regent of Osogboland who is also second in command to the Ataoja-In-council, High Chief Gabriel Oparanti appreciated their visit and prayed for the Almighty God’s protection for  them in  the discharge of their duty.

Chief Oparanti who is Ajaguna of Osogbo said that he has ordered all the chiefs to stay in the palace from morning till evening to in order to be receiving visitors who would pay condolence visit till they finish all the arrangement to choose  a successor  to  the late Ataoja, adding that the eight Kingmakers are the people saddled  with the responsibility of picking the successor with the help of God.

Mr Atteh who led other top management of the Bank to the Palace however prayed to God to endow the kingmakers with Solomon’s  wisdom to pick the good successor in which the town would  continue enjoy peaceful  co-existence and tranquility in the community.

Among the team of the Apex bank that followed their Controller were Mr M.O.Efetabore,the Head of Banking,Mr B.B.Ibrahim,the Head, Currency Management Centre,. Others are, Mr L.A. Oyaniyi, Head Branch Support Office, Mrs Akindele, Acting Head, Development Finance Office and Mr. A.A.Ologun, Head Security.
