A magistrate court sitting in Osogbo has remanded Mojeed Jimoh,32 in Ilesa Maximum prison for allegedly killing  his wife in Ila-Orangun over #20 pap

 The Presiding Magistrate,Olalekan Ijiyode  ordered Jimoh to be  remanded in prison custody while he was arraigned before it

.The charge sheet read thus"Jimoh at Aga's compound in Ila Orangun at about 8.00 am on July 10,2010 unlawfully killed one Adijat Jimoh who happened to be his wife by beating are to death"

After reading the charge sheet,Magistrate Ijiyode said the case of murder was beyond the jurisdiction of its court.

He therefore ordered that the accused person should be remanded in prison custody  pending his arraignment at the appropriate court of law.

It would be recalled that Mojeed Oketoye Jimoh was alleged to have  beaten his wife to the point of death and he was arrested alongside  his mother in nearby neigbourhood where he ran to after the incident .But she (his mom)was later released on bail by the police.

Earlier,the Osun state Police Public Relation Officer(PPRO) told our correspondent that during the police investigation  ,Jimoh confessed that it was true that he killed his wife.

 The magistrate later the adjourned the case  to Sept. 22 for mention.
