The list of ministers
sent to the senate has not been
withdrawn. This confirmation came from
Mr Ima Niboro, spokesman to Acting
President Good luck Jonathan. His
statement was in response to a
text message from Newsdiaryonline
in the aftermath of rumours that
Jonathan has withdrawn the list in order
to effect changes .The rumour mill in
Abuja said the Acting president would
submit a new list Thursday.
But Niboro's statement
was straight to the point:''No.The
ministerial list has not been
withdrawn'' he said a few minutes ago.
There was some sort of
confusion within some political circles
in Abuja this morning following
unconfirmed reports that the list of
ministers which was submitted to the
senate yesterday has been withdrawn by
the Acting President Goodluck Jonathan.
The rumour making he
rounds claimed that he list has been
withdrawn perhaps in order to
effect some changes . One source said
some names already published may be
dropped or 'replaced' while other names
may be added.
Another source said the
list has only been withdrawn in order to
add some names. There was uncertainty
because sources said ''these things keep
changing, try and be sure, crosscheck
very well please'' a senior
journalist who has also heard of this
fluid state of the ministerial list
said. One reporter at the National
Assembly however said no such
information about the alleged withdrawal
of the list has been released.
Perhaps Niboro's
statement will bring the
rumour to an end ..
