Sambo flags off Nyako’s campaign, extols his ‘exemplary
leadership’

Vice President Arc Mohammed Namadi Sambo has described Governor
Murtala Nyako of Adamawa State as an exemplary leader that keeps
his covenant with his people and work in tandem with the PDP
manifesto. Vice President Sambo stated this on Wednesday, in
Yola, Adamawa State, during the flag-off of the campaign of the
Governor. Arc Sambo, who is also the chairman of Nyako campaign
committee, said that he is “a governor that works with the
manifesto of the PDP. A governor who keeps promises and a
governor whom we have listened to the various laudable actions
he had taken in the state.”
The Vice President who said the Nyako administration had
impacted positively on the lives of his people thanked him for
maintaining peace and security, uplifting the educational
standard in the state, creating jobs, poverty alleviation and
the construction of several road projects across the state. VP
Sambo stated that the visionary leadership of Governor Nyako had
led the Federal Government executing several projects in the
state in the areas of power supply, water projects, roads,
healthcare and agriculture.
Some of these include multipurpose dams in Jada, Dasin
Hausa and Chouchi. Others are plans to dredge the River Benue up
to Yola and the construction of silos amongst others.Vice
President Sambo therefore enjoined the people of the state to
come out en-masse on January 14, 2012 to vote for him. He
implored them to be resolute in their determination to ensure
continuity in transformation.
Governor Nyako in his remarks expressed delight with the support
he had being receiving from President Goodluck Jonathan, the
Party and the people of the state. He promised to continue with
his good works if re-elected.
The event witnessed goodwill messages from acting PDP National
chairman represented by the acting National Secretary Musa
Babayo, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Governor Danbaba
Suntai of Taraba State, Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Zainab
Maina and other PDP stalwarts.
Vice President Sambo had, on arrival, paid homage to the Lamido
of Adamawa Muhammad Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa where he sought the
support and the blessing of the royal father on the candidature
of Governor Nyako.
Responding, the Lamido expressed his delight with the visit and
also lauded the achievements of the governor. Present at the
occasion were the governors of Sokoto, Aliyu Wamako, Gombe
Ibrahim Dankwambo and that of Bauchi, Isa Yuguda. Others were
members of the Federal Executive Council and Federal and State
legislatures and other dignitaries.
