Governorship aspirant of the Peoples
Democratic Party ,PDP in Osun
state,Senator Iyiola Omisore has
identified the late sage, Chief Obafemi
Awolowo as his role model in politics,
stressing that he was not prepared to
compromise his intention to govern the
state.
Senator also stressed that he has
determined to contest for the highest
position in the state was born out of
his interest in the masses and
determination to serve his people in
higher capacity.
The former Deputy Governor declared
that he possesses enough
credentials to become the Governor of
Osun state next year.
Omisore who is the Chairman, Senate
Committee on Appropriation in
continuation of his consultation tour of
Local Government Areas in the state
yesterday stated that non of his
co-aspirants can boast of the wide
range of political experience he had
garnered this past years.
He
said that he had since the beginning of
the current democratic dispensation been
an person to reckon with not only in
Osun state but the whole country at
large.
He
said it would be disastrous to leave
the governance of the state in the hands
of political charlatans who are bereft
of any political ideas, adding that the
issue of governance in the state was
beyond what people with little or no
leadership experience can cope with.
The
federal legislator denied the claim that
his political followers are violent in
their actions and approach in the
realization of his political dream.
While soliciting for the support of the
people of the state during the party's
primary, Senator Omisore assured them of
good leadership if he eventually
becomes the Governor of the state.
