After several hours of interrogation by officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission , EFCC in Abuja, Malam Nasir el Rufai left the EFCC premises Tueday evening.

Reports suggest he may have been granted an administrative bail.But there was no official comment  either from EFCC or from El Rufai.In fact, journalists who had waited  to hear from him were visibly angry that the former FCTminister drove off without a word.His associates tried to apologize on his behalf

The EFCC invited him for questioning over alleged embezzlement of N32 billion.But the figures reportedly shrank to N1.6 billion of late .He is also accused of allocating plots of land to his friends and family members.

The very vibrant and courageous ex minister  has repeatedly maintained that the charges against him were politically contrived  by the YarAdua cabal, which incidentally  has been decapitated by the emergence of Goodluck Jonathan as Acting President.
