A Federal High Court
Sitting in Benin has sacked Governor
Emmanuel Uduaghan
of Delta state.
Newsdiaryonline
gathered that the ruling came as a surprise
to many.Even some newshounds were taken by
surprise.A journalist based in Asaba ,Delta
State capital just told newsdiaryonline
Tuesday evening that ``that is what we have
just learnt , that the court has sacked the
governor and that another election should be
conducted within 90 days.
Chief Great Ogboru has
been pursuing his case of alleged
malpractices at the 2007 gubernatorial
elections in the state. He recently said his
perceived silence on the matter did not mean
that he had given up on the struggle.
If
Uduaghan fails to win the rerun, it will
effectively put an end to the James Ibori
dynasty in
the state.Some politicians actually kicked
against the emergence of Uduaghan who is
believed
to be former Governor
Ibori’s
cousin.
