Court of Appeal clears Gov. Suntai
Posted Sat Jan 14,2012

The Court of Appeal sitting in Yola has upheld the verdict of the tribunal that declared Gov. Danbaba Danfulani Suntai winner of the governorship election.

Delivering the judgement in Yola, Justice S S Alagoah said that both the CPC and ACN cases lack merit. The court therefore struck out their case on that ground.
Reacting to the judgement, Gov.Suntai said that the victory will spur him on as he strives to develop the state.

He appealed to Tarabans to forget about partisan differences and other divisive factors and work for the state. He also appealed  to opposition to always remember that power comes from God, nothing that too much valuable time is often wasted in post-election bickerings.

Gov. Suntai said his victory came at a time when the nation is engulfed in many challenges. He remains optimistic that  the country would pull out of all the crisis.
