Q:
What
does the emergence of Atiku as the consensus
candidate signify?
A:What
it means actually is this:that for the first
time, somebody who is a true
democrat, somebody who has had what I call
political spirit,somebody who is
experienced,somebody who is prepared
to
be president, who has the quality and the
policy and how he is going to execute the
policy and how long it is going to take him
to execute the policy.Somebody who not only
founded PDP,but understands the rudiments of
democracy has come out to present himself to
Nigerians. And let
me say one thing, if Atiku were not
today a democrat, he would have acquiesced
to President (Olusegun) Obasanjo to destroy
democracy, because he would have remained a
life vicepresident.But he
fought him(Obasanjo) to a standstill
and made it possible for democracy to
thrive.Without Atiku , there would never be
Umaru Yar 'Adua, without Atiku there would
not be (President Goodluck) Jonathan,without
Atiku we wouldn’t
have
all these governors in the various
states. So this is a man who is prepared to
serve the country. And we celebrate today,
the sustenance and the survival of democracy
Q:
How do you see the challenge posed by the
incumbent president?
A:Incumbent?
Remember somebody was a president and
wanted
to stay in as life president.Somebody had
the power of incumbency and he wanted to
take Nigeria and Nigerians for a ride, but
Nigerians said, no!Before Jonathan came, we
had wiped out our external debts, today, we
are owing.NEPA (now PHCN) has not been
stabilized.The level of unemployment
is something ….We need an experienced
politician,we need a dedicated Nigerian.We
need somebody who has seen it all, who has
been there. And don’t forget, it was Atiku
who put together people like Soludo, Okonjo
Iweala and that is exactly why we want him
back.
Q:Does Atiku’s emergence brighten the
chances of the South East(Igbo) in producing
a civilian president?
A:O
f course it does .Because four years , the
agreement is, in four years, the south east
takes over by 2015.

Zainab Abu:Dubem
O. is only supporting Atiku because of the
2015 agenda. i think we owe
ourselves to selecting a candidates that
cares for the Nation not someone that is
concern about his numerous assets. Atiku did
nothing for his state during the eight years
he was the Vice president so what are we
talking about. we need new ideas,
innovations, each vote should count please.
PDP please grow up. let get a man like
lagos state governor, please
Rasheed Mahe:It's
my strong belief that the zoning arrangement
is gud 4 the unity and progress of
nigeria and that jonathan's
insistence to run contrary to the agreement
has further deepened the ethnic and
religious devide in our land. Above all
Jonathan has failed to deliver a single
promise to nigerians, gimmicks is wat he's
been preaching. Corruption increasing in the
midst of abject poverty. Please I urge
anyone to go to their villages and
understand the feeling of masses. Long live
Nigeria
