Nigerian Minister to Host Youth Conference on Twitter

The Minister of Youth Development, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi will
host an inaugural live twitter conference (tweet-meet) with
Nigerian youth on Thursday, September 9, 2011 between 3 and 5
pm.
The Minister will engage the youth on all issues that affect
them, and will unfold the Ministry’s strategic plans to deal
with matters of youth development such as youth unemployment,
youth voice and value reorientation, etc.
According to statement by Julius Ogunro,his media aide,the
Honourable Minister promised that the meeting will be
stimulating, educative and mutually beneficial.
He also stated that he would do his best to address the
concerns of young Nigerians as well as articulate his
vision,plans and programmes to actualize the mandate of the
ministry. “I am excited by the unique opportunity provided by
the social media to engage young Nigerians. This is an
opportunity I intend to use optimally for the benefit of all,”
stated Mallam Abdullahi.
The Minister enjoined all young Nigerians who wish to
participate in this historic meeting to follow him on twitter.
His handle is BolajiAbdullahi, while the hashtag for the meeting
is #NGMYD. The tweet-meet will be weekly at the same time.
