Considering the Ignorance of law most especially
constitution by largerbpercentage of people in
Nigeria whereby people’s fundamental rights are
being infringed upon without knowing how to enforce
these rights, a radio programme called KNOW YOUR
CONSTITUTION has been designed on UNILAG 103.1 FM in
Nigeria to address this menace. The radio
programme is set to take testimonies from affected
persons in Nigeria, ask people on the street of
their fundamental rights awareness and bring legal
practitioners to educate, inform and educate
listeners on how to enforce their constitutional
rights.
Adeola Austin Oyinlade has been announced as the anchor of the
programme. Adeola is a radio personality, researcher
and Law student of University of Lagos in Nigeria.
He has received a letter of commendation and
appreciation from United Nations for his ‘interest
and support of the United Nations’ when he sent an
article
to United Nations secretary General; Mr. Ban Ki-Moon
on MILLENIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS
OBSTACLES AND WAYS OF TACKLING THEM. Recently he
worked on another paper sent to
United Nations Boss titled CONTRIBUTION OF HIGHER
INSTITUTIONS TO ACHIEVEING
MILLENIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS.
On Adeola Austin Oyinlade’s choice to anchor Know
your constitution on UNILAG FM, the producer Mr.
Thomas Eugeni said ‘ Adeola has written numerous
articles in contribution towards national and
international issues such as good governance in
economic and social development, peace and security,
human rights, democracy and rule of law which have
been published in local magazines and National daily
newspapers. He is very intelligent and has
interviewed Former chief Justice of Nigeria
Muhammadu Lawal Uwais, Justice Kayode Esho, and
Festus Keyamo among other personalities in Legal
profession.
The programme is on live on UNILAG 103.1 FM (The
first University radio station in Nigeria) on
Thursdays, 10:00 am Nigerian time.
