The entire board and executive members of Voters Rights Initiative (VRI) rising from its 15th stakeholder’s round table at Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja,   congratulated  Hon. Chief (Barr.) Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, on his appointment by President Goodluck Jonathan, as Minister of the Federal Republic. A statement after the meeting said :``We also felicitate and rejoice with the Governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, for his belief and trust reposed on Hon.  Wike to represent Rivers State at the national level and as good ambassador of the state.’’

The group also  thanked President Goodluck Jonathan for deeming it fit to appoint Hon. Nyesom Wike as a Minister of the Federal Republic a decision the group said was guided by his well known  antecedent over the years as a veritable asset to the transformation agenda of the present administration.

``Having, Hon. Wike for whom he is, Nigeria is going to be experiencing an enduring democratic decision making process in the Federal Cabinet  `` the group said in its statement signed  by Mike Eyaba Eguma its executive secretary .Eguma believes Wike will   bring robust style to whichever ministry he is assigned .

``Hon. Wike has remained a loyal party faithful of the PDP and a technocrat who will bring his many years of public administration into play in the new dispensation. The Jonathan’s administration and Nigerians are indeed lucky to have such a man as a member of one of the highest decision making organ in the country at a time like this in our nation’s history’’ Eguma said.

This is coming though  amidst criticisms trailing Nwike’s appointment.
