The Chairman of the Board of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc, Nahco aviance,Alhaji Suleiman Yahyah, has commended the organization of the annual Kaduna International Polo Tournament for its consistency in maintaining high standards in the game over the years. According to him the participation of some highly- rated foreign players during the just -concluded tournament goes to show that the Kaduna tourney has consistently gained credibility in the Polo game calendar in the world.

Speaking in Kaduna over the weekend after the presentation of the giant NAHCO Cup won by the Kaduna Safaz Shelter team at the final day of the  2011 edition of the tournament, Alhaji Suleiman observed that though the tournament which was first staged over 100 years ago has not attained its highest peak, there is room for improvement and urged the organizers not to rest on their oars until the tournament is rated first globally. The Cambridge-trained Economist remarked that nahco aviance being a company that believes in perfection and renders top of the range ground handling services in the aviation sector, it will always try to identify with organizers of top-rated events in Nigeria as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility.

Nahco aviance took over the sponsorship of the cup which is one of the major trophies in the annual  Kaduna  polo tournament in 2007 with a cash prize of One Million, Five Hundred Thousand Naira. This year's diadem was won by a quartet comprising Shuaibu Zakari, Danjuma Abdullahi, Bello Buba and Baba Kyari after defeating the Katsina Max Air team 5-3. The closing ceremony was attended by by dignitaries which included the Governor of Kaduna State, Sir Ibrahim Patrick Yakowa, traditional rulers from Kaduna, Adamawa, Kebbi and Niger States among others.
